Dr. Tyler Wallingford

Dr. Tyler Wallingford, originally from Atlantic, Iowa, earned his undergraduate degree from Central College in Pella in 2011 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Anatomy from Creighton University in 2012 before graduating from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2017. He joined Clay and Associates DDS, PLC in 2018 and has since been an active part of the Fort Dodge community, where he met his wife, Ellen. They are proud parents to three children—Elsie, Theo, and Lucille—and share their home with a St. Bernard named Ruby.

Dr. Wallingford has served as President of the Fort Dodge District Dental Society and is passionate about education and mentorship. He serves as adjunct faculty for the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, guiding fourth-year dental students during their five-week extramural rotations at his clinic—a preceptor relationship that spans over fifty years. This hands-on experience in private practice offers students the opportunity to build clinical confidence and understand the importance of long-term doctor-patient trust, a privilege cultivated over time. He also serves as adjunct faculty at Iowa Central Community College, supporting the training of future dental hygienists.
